Today TsNIIMASh is the leading executor of works in more than forty areas and under the authority of the Federal Space Agency (Poscosmos).
TsNIIMASh is responsible for system analysis, design-search researches and drawing up the programs of space rocket equipment development and the space activity of Russia, complex refining of space rocket equipment, solution of scientific and technical problems of aerogasdynamics, heat-mass exchange, durability, dynamics, standardization and unification of space rocket systems, control of the flights of space vehicles and orbital stations....
The main areas of the activities of TsNIIMASh:
- Organizing and carrying out fundamental, theoretical, project-search designing and experimental researches to justify the programs of development of space rocket equipment and ensure development, identification of key technologies
- Realizing practical control of flights of space vehicles of different classes (piloted orbital complexes, automatic interplanetary stations, economic and scientific satellites), ensuring at the same time simultaneous control of several devices under different space programs
- System and design researches of problems of space communication and TV, navigation, control and electromagnetic interoperability, remote sounding of the Earth and ecology
- Researching dynamic characteristics and building control systems of objects of space-rocket equipment

 The GIS-Association is an interregional community created to promote the geospatial technologies and services market. Since 1995 it is active in Russia, the CIS countries and Baltic States. The main goal of the Association is to promote market relations in the geoinformatics sphere, which includes digital mapping, topography, navigation and RS data usage in regional and corporate GIS projects. In order to achieve the goal the Association attempts to improve land-owner rights legislation, it defends its members’ legal rights, maintains informational support for geoinformational technologies users and providers.
The GIS-Association issues the “GISinfo” newspaper, the “Informational Bulletin”, the “Spatial Data”, the “Management of development of territory” it also issues the annual review “Russian Geoinformatics Market”.
 The GPS CLUB ( www.gps-club.ru ) is a community of amateurs and professionals.
The Club has been founded in order to unite producers, creators, dealers, service-centers and all people who are interested in navigation. The GPS CLUB is a place of meeting and open discussion between professionals and amateurs, producers and buyers, experienced users and beginners.
