MAC forum discussed digital transformation of economy
Digital Transformation: Ensuring Sustainable Development became a key topic of the 26th International Forum of the International Telecommunications Academy (MAC) held at Expocentre Fairgrounds within the conference programme of Russian Week of High Technologies 2022.
In her opening speech, Anastasia Ositis, President and Academician of the International Telecommunications Academy (MAC), Chairperson of the Professional Qualifications Council for Telecommunications, Postal Communication and Radio Engineering, noted that MAC has been bringing together scientists, professionals and executives for over a quarter of a century and holds annual competitions to support talented young people among students, teachers of universities, research institutes, enterprises, communications organisations, development of their creativity and promotion of innovative projects.
Today's forum, she said, is particularly relevant given the need to develop new approaches to address technical and socio-economic inequalities and to shape the conditions for transition to a new reality. It is necessary to take into account current trends in building a digital society, public and private sectors working together to achieve sustainable development and economic growth goals, the MAC head said.
The forum discussed issues related to the digital transformation of the economy, social, industrial, health and business, regulation and standardisation, and infocommunications for sustainable cities and human settlements. Particular attention was paid to the development of a national qualification system in telecommunications, postal and radio engineering.Press Service, EXPOCENTRE AO
