Press Release. 8th edition of the International Exhibition for Navigation Systems, Technologies and Services - Navitech 2016

On May 10-13, 2016, Pavilion No.8 (Halls 1, 3) of Expocentre Fairgrounds hosts the 8th edition of the Navitech International Exhibition for Navigation Systems, Technologies and Services. It is co-located with the International Navigation Forum which runs on May 11-12.

The exhibition is organized by Expocentre AO. The forum is organized by the GLONASS/GNSS-Forum Association.  

Navitech 2016 is held with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the GLONASS Union, the Association of Designers, Manufacturers and Users of Equipment and Applications Based on Global Navigation Satellite Systems GLONASS/GNSS-Forum, and under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Navitech is a unique event which showcases developments of global leaders of the navigation, geodesy and cartography market.  

The event bears the label of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.  

This year Navitech is held within the Russian Week of High Technologies together with the Sviaz 2016 International Exhibition, and the STL. Systems for Transport and Logistics 2016 International Exhibition.  

A whole range of IT, telecommunications, logistics and navigation products and services are showcased under one roof to give visitors the most relevant and firsthand  information about the industry.

Navitech is Russias only show devoted to navigation technology and services. It gives the whole picture of the current trends of the market of navigation equipment, services, and software including geographic information systems and mapping applications. It is the main trade show for navigation industry professionals.

The Navitech 2016 product sectors include

  • Transport navigation and information systems
  • Intellectual transport systems
  • High-precision satellite navigation

  • Indoor positioning and navigation
  • In-vehicle navigation and information systems
  • Personal navigation and information systems, services and devices

There are 53 exhibitors from Belarus, Canada, China, Lithuania and Russia.

Foreign participants include such companies as Sierra Wireless (Canada), Shenzhen Meitrack Group (China), Hangzhou Nicigo (China), Gurtam (Belarus), Ruptela (Lithuania), and Teltonika (Lithuania).

Russia is represented by 46 companies including Russian Space Systems, Navtelecom, Euromobile, Gonets Satellite System, Treatface, Prime Time Project, Starline, Satellite Telecom, Arusnavi/Gelios Soft, Satellite Soft Labs, Fort-Telecom, Aurora Mobile Technologies, Autofon, Centre of Space Services of the Orlov Oblast, Vi-Tel, ServiceSoft, MT-System, NTLab, Sigard, Scout, Automated Systems of Control, and others.  

The Skolkovo Innovation Centre is presented jointly with GLONASS Union. The stand showcases both developments and ready-made products of companies which are part of the cluster of space technologies and telecommunications for navigation services of the Skolkovo Foundation.  

The central event on navigation technology in Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union is the 10th International Navigation Forum.  

The forum is held for developers and consumers of products and services which use navigation technology and covers the most relevant issues of their application and development.

This year the forum is devoted to the most recent navigation trends such as the unmanned revolution, smart cars, drone regulations, passenger and freight traffic, safety technologies, etc. 

Many plenary sessions, panels and sections cover development of satellite navigation systems and application, and international cooperation in this industry.  Forum participants will learn more about navigation technologies in various sectors of economy, promising areas of navigation use such as indoor navigation, unmanned transport, etc.

On May 11-13 Expocentre Fairgrounds also hosts a drone racing organized by GLONASS Union.
